Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore di CARTIZZE Spumante DRY

The vineyards owned by the company VIGNE SAVIE belong to the exclusive area of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG and are inside the fine area of Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze. Ruggeri family, working the land, communicates history, tradition, passion and love for these territories.
and as someone talking..
“wine is the poetry of land”

(Mario Soldati 1906-1999)

The area lies in the Veneto, 50 km from Venice, in the hilly strip of the Province of Treviso lying between the small towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. A combination of hill chains – running from east to west – that follow up from the plains to the foothills at an equal distance from the Dolomites, that protect them from the north and the Adriatic sea, which positively influences the climate and the nature of the landscape. The farmland is difficult to cultivate but it has a special charm, with its vineyards perched high on the steep hillsides where it is hard even to remain standing.

The production zone comprises fifteen communes and it spread over an area of around 20,000 hectares. Vines are grown only on the most sunny parts of the hills, at an altitudes varying between 50 and 500 metres above sea level, while the north-facing slopes are covered mainly in woodland.

5,000 hectares of vineyards are entered in the official D.O.C.G. Register, and of these just over 100 are in the Cartizze subzone in the commune of Valdobbiadene, which lies between the hamlets of Santo Stefano, Saccol and San Pietro di Barbozza; a real cru that arises from the perfect combination of a mild microclimate and soil originated from the ancient seabed lifting.

The Prosecco produced in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG area represents a synthesis of history and “naturally” superior quality; founded by precise rules that guarantee the uniqueness and authenticity of a tradition that, while adapting to change, has preserved a distinct and unmistakable identity. The flag state of each bottle makes it traceable at all times, so the consumer can be traced back precisely to the history of the wine. Every stage of production, in fact, is subject to strict controls. The Conegliano Valdobbiadene G of warranty is more than a simple point: the recognition of a work of years to reach an excellent quality at every stage of processing and production.
